The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America's communities. Their site provides information about general mental health (including PTSD), suicide prevention, and substance abuse. There are also treatment resources available on this site.     

The mission of the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) is to promote the prevention, treatment, and cure of anxiety and stress-related disorders through advocacy, education, training, and research.     

ISTSS is an international, interdisciplinary professional organization that promotes advancement and exchange of knowledge about traumatic stress.     

The National Center for PTSD aims to help U.S. Veterans and others through research, education, and training on trauma and PTSD.

This 24-hour crisis line provides immediate confidential assistance for people in emotional distress and in need of help. If there is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.     

The University of Washington's Psychological Services and Training Center provides psychotherapy and psychological assessment to residents of the Seattle metropolitan area. Psychotherapy fees are determined according to the Clinic's two-tiered fee scale and are based upon the client's gross annual income.

Cleveland, OH Resources 

  • Mobile Crisis Team: 216-623-6888 

The goals of the Mobile Crisis Team are to help children and adults of Cuyahoga County who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis to maximize their safety and health, manage mental health symptoms, and reduce their subjective distress. They offer a 24/7 crisis hotline and crisis outreach in Cuyahoga County, OH. If there is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.     

The CWRU Psychology Clinic is a mental health service and training center operated by the Department of Psychology. Therapy services are provided by graduate students enrolled in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at CWRU. All student therapists are closely supervised by licensed psychologists.

This 24-hour crisis and suicide hotline provides assistance to adults with a variety of emotional and psychological challenges. The goal is to assess the caller’s environment, support systems, and current level of functioning in order to gain a clear understanding of treatment and support services that will be needed. If there is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911. 

  • UD Psychological Services Center: 203-831-2717

The University of Delaware Psychological Services Center provides psychotherapy and psychological assessments to community members. Services are provided by graduate students in the clinical psychology program at UD. All student therapists are closely supervised by licensed psychologists. Fees for the services are based on a sliding scale, depending on the number of people in the family and yearly income.
